CellarScience FermFed is a complex yeast nutrient blend designed to help yeast finish fermentation safely while supporting cleaner flavor and aroma development. It contains diammonium phosphate, thiamin, amino acids, sterols, pantothenic acid, mannoproteins, protective microelements derived from yeast hulls, and vitamins B2, B5, B6, and B12.

Why Brewers Like It:

• Helps support yeast health during fermentation
• Provides organic and inorganic nitrogen, including DAP
• Can help reduce hydrogen sulfide, often described as rotten egg aroma
• Sterols help yeast cells stay stronger as alcohol rises
• Mannoproteins can help keep aroma compounds in solution
• Useful for wine, cider, seltzer, and other non-malt fermentations where nitrogen is needed

General Use:

For many fermentations, add about 1 gram per gallon near the end of fermentation. Mix the nutrient into a small slurry of water before adding it to the fermenter.

Beginner Note:

For beer or malt-based fermentations where nitrogen levels are unknown, CellarScience FermFed DAP Free may be the better choice. Regular FermFed contains DAP and is especially useful when you know the fermentation needs additional nitrogen.
