What is BuildaBrew?

BuildaBrew is a simple recipe-style shopping tool that helps you plan a brew day. You answer a few questions, and it gives you a basic recipe, suggested ingredients, and the tools that help with each step.

Do I have to buy everything BuildaBrew recommends?

No. BuildaBrew is meant to guide you, not pressure you. If you already have a kettle, fermenter, sanitizer, hydrometer, or other tools, you can skip those items and just use the recipe guidance.

Should I choose milled or unmilled grain?

Choose milled grain unless you own a grain mill. Milled grain is ready to brew with. Unmilled grain needs to be crushed before mashing.

Can beginners use this store?

Yes. The store is built with beginners in mind. We try to explain what ingredients and tools actually do instead of assuming you already know brewing terms.

Do you ship products directly from suppliers?

Some products may ship directly from suppliers. This helps us offer a wider selection of brewing equipment, ingredients, and supplies without carrying every item in-house.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping times can vary depending on the product and supplier. Many items may ship within a few business days, but larger equipment or supplier-direct items can take longer.

Can I return ingredients?

Because ingredients like grain, hops, yeast, and other consumables can be sensitive to storage and handling, they are generally not returnable once shipped. If there is a problem with your order, contact us and we’ll look into it.

Can I return equipment?

Unopened and unused equipment may be eligible for return depending on the item and supplier. Contact us before sending anything back so we can help you with the right next step.

What if I order the wrong item?

Contact us as soon as possible. If the order has not shipped yet, we may be able to help adjust it. Once an item ships, options may be limited.

Do you offer local pickup?

Not at this time. Orders are handled through the online store.
