About Us
I'm a homebrewer from Corbin, Kentucky. I started brewing because I love craft beer and wanted to understand what actually goes into making it. What I didn't expect was how hard it would be just to figure out where to start.
Too much jargon. Too many conflicting opinions online. Stores that threw a hundred products at you and assumed you already knew what you needed. I spent more time confused than brewing.
So I built the store I wished existed.
Why Dog Slaughter?
Dog Slaughter is a real place in southeastern Kentucky. Most locals know it for Dog Slaughter Falls, a hidden gem tucked into the hills outside Corbin. The name catches people off guard, which is kind of the point. We're not trying to be another generic homebrew store with a safe, forgettable name. We're from here, and that matters to us.
What We're Trying to Do
Dog Slaughter Homebrew Supply exists to make homebrewing feel approachable, especially for people who are just getting started or buying for someone who is.
You shouldn't need to spend three hours researching before you can buy a bag of hops. You shouldn't feel like an idiot for not knowing the difference between a lager yeast and an ale yeast. And you definitely shouldn't have to guess whether the kit you're buying actually includes everything you need.
That's why we built BuildaBrew, a guided tool that walks you through picking a beer style, understanding your ingredients, and knowing exactly what to buy before brew day. No guessing. No jargon. Just a simple plan for your first batch.
What We Sell
Grain, hops, yeast, fermenters, kettles, airlocks, sanitizers, and everything else you need to brew beer at home. We carry ingredients for beginners and experienced brewers alike, along with starter kits and ingredient refill kits for people who already have equipment.
Real Kentucky. No Nonsense.
We're not a warehouse. We're not a corporation. We're a small Kentucky operation run by someone who genuinely loves this hobby and wants more people to experience the satisfaction of drinking a beer they made themselves.
If you're not sure what to buy, start with BuildaBrew or just contact us. We'd rather help you get the right setup than sell you something you don't need.
Welcome to the brewery.
