Fermentis SafAle S-33 is a dry beer yeast strain suited for Belgian-style beers, including Belgian wheats and Trappist-style ales. It helps produce the characteristic phenolic profile associated with many Belgian beers and can also be used in strong English ales and hop-forward styles where a fruity profile and fuller mouthfeel are desired.

Rehydration Guidance:
If rehydrating, sprinkle the yeast into at least 10 times its weight of sterile water or wort at 70°F to 77°F. Do not stir at first. Let it rest for 15 to 30 minutes, then gently stir and pitch into the fermenter.

S-33 is a good option when you want something more expressive than a clean American ale yeast. Use it when the yeast character is meant to be part of the beer.
